Kriptozooloji a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan Yeti ile akraba say\u0131lmakta olup \u00fc\u00e7 d\u00fczeyin birbirinden ayr\u0131 tutulmas\u0131 gerekmektedir: folklor, kriptozolojiyi ve Albasty adl\u0131 di\u011fer fig\u00fcrden ayr\u0131m\u0131. Folklorda Almas \u00e7o\u011funlukla \u00e7ekingen bir orman sakinidir; zaman zaman h\u0131rs\u0131zl\u0131k veya sald\u0131rganl\u0131kla ili\u015fkilendirilmi\u015f, ancak sistematik bir insan d\u00fc\u015fman\u0131 olarak nitelendirilmemi\u015ftir. Bir k\u00fclt\u00fc bulunmamakta olup kriptid olarak ger\u00e7ekte var olmamaktad\u0131r: Almas salt bir efsane ve anlat\u0131 fig\u00fcr\u00fcd\u00fcr.
