in \u010dude\u017eni predmet Sampo. Njegovo ime ga ozna\u010duje kot bitje zraka in neba, v epiki pa je predvsem junak kova\u010d.<\/p><p>Osrednji vir je nacionalni ep Kalevala, ki ga je Elias L\u00f6nnrot leta 1835 in 1849 sestavil iz ustnega izro\u010dila runopoja, poleg tega pa \u0161e starej\u0161e \u010darovne in rotitvene pesmi, v katerih je Ilmarinen priklican kot pobudnik \u017eeleza in ikonografije.<\/p><p><strong>Delovanje<\/strong><\/p><p>Ilmarinen je skoval nebesni svod tako mojstrsko, da ni videti nobenega sledu kladiva ali kle\u0161\u010d, prav tako je skoval Sampo, \u010dude\u017eni mlin in prina\u0161alca sre\u010de. Etimologija in starej\u0161a plast ga ozna\u010dujeta kot bo\u017eanstvo zraka in neba, ustvarjalca neba; pri nadzoru vremena ga je delno zasen\u010dil bog groma in vremena Ukko.
