Slovo mezuzah znamen\u00e1 v biblickej hebrej\u010dine p\u00f4vodne jednoducho dverov\u00e1 z\u00e1rub\u0148a. A\u017e v rab\u00ednskom jazyku sa v\u00fdraz preniesol na samotn\u00fd predmet, ktor\u00fd na tejto z\u00e1rubni vis\u00ed.<\/p><p>Zvitok sa naz\u00fdva klaf a je vyroben\u00fd z pergamenu k\u00f3\u0161er zviera\u0165a. P\u00ed\u0161e sa na neho neodstr\u00e1nite\u013en\u00fdm \u010diernym atramentom a pomocou brka, p\u00ed\u0161e ho vy\u0161kolen\u00fd pis\u00e1r, sofer.<\/p><p>Tvar p\u00edsmen mus\u00ed presne zodpoveda\u0165 jedn\u00e9mu z dvoch povolen\u00fdch \u0161t\u00fdlov, a\u0161ken\u00e1zskemu ktav Bejt Josef alebo sefardsk\u00e9mu ktav Ari.
