Hom\u00e9r ho naz\u00fdva jedn\u00fdm z najjemnej\u0161\u00edch bohov. Na letm\u00fdch kr\u00eddlach sa vzn\u00e1\u0161a nad zemou a vdychuje \u013eu\u010fom pokoj. Hom\u00e9r ho nazval \u201ejemnej\u0161\u00edm ne\u017e perie\u201c. Vl\u00e1dne nad tou tretinou \u017eivota, ktor\u00e1 sa str\u00e1vi v sp\u00e1nku, oblas\u0165ou, ktor\u00fa m\u00e1lo in\u00fdch bohov priamo ovl\u00e1da. Po smrti Sarped\u00f3na, syna Zeusa, otec bohov poveril Apol\u00f3na, aby telo priniesol a odovzdal ho Hypnosovi a Thanatovi.<\/p><p>Obaja bratia nes\u00fa mrtv\u00e9ho hrdinu do jeho domoviny L\u00fdkie, aby tam z\u00edskal d\u00f4stojn\u00fd pohreb.
