kira-kira 6368 meter di Cordillera Real, terletak di atas bandar kecil Sorata, dan merupakan Achachila pelindung wilayah tersebut. Bersama Ancohuma yang sedikit lebih tinggi, ia membentuk sebuah gugusan gunung yang sering dipanggil ringkas Sorata.<\/p><p>Dalam logik Achachila, Illampu dianggap sebagai penguasa hujan, kesuburan dan pelindung wilayah tersebut.
