Entrambi i significati coesistono: <em>al-Jann<\/em> come collettivo e antenato dei <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tooltip=\"Nel Corano, esseri di fuoco senza fumo dotati di libero arbitrio, n\u00e9 angeli n\u00e9 demoni, ma una creazione autonoma con una propria morale.\">Djinn<\/span>, e Jann come una specie inferiore di Djinn.<\/p>\n<p>Il Corano ancora la figura nella teologia della creazione: secondo la Sura 15,27 al-Jann \u00e8 creato dal fuoco, secondo la Sura 55,15 da una fiamma di fuoco senza fumo. Il secondo significato del termine \u00e8 proprio questo serpente veloce.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Azione<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Come collettivo e capostipite, <em>al-Jann<\/em> designa i Djinn come razza; il termine viene usato in particolare quando <em>Jinn<\/em> potrebbe altrimenti indicare anche gli angeli.
