Kao Navke i Mavke javljaju se u obliku lijepih djevojaka ili \u017ealobnih crnih ptica. Za razliku od vampirskih nemrtvih iz susjednih slavenskih tradicija, rije\u010d je o \u010distim du\u0161ama mrtvih, a ne o krvopijama.<\/p><p>Predod\u017eba je rasprostranjena me\u0111u svim Slavenima: kod isto\u010dnih Slavena duhovi se javljaju kao Navka i Mavka, a kod ju\u017enih Slavena prevladava pti\u010dji oblik. Motiv ptice povezuje ovo bi\u0107e sa starijom predod\u017ebom o du\u0161i kao ptici.<\/p><p><strong>Djelovanje<\/strong><\/p><p>Navke privla\u010de mlade ljude opona\u0161aju\u0107i pla\u010d djeteta ili se smiju\u0107i, \u017eale za propu\u0161tenim kr\u0161tenjem i katkad nanose \u0161tetu. Onaj koji ismijava ili zvi\u017edi \u017ealobnim pticama-Navjama, navla\u010di njihov gnjev na sebe; onaj koji poka\u017ee milost i simboli\u010dno ih krsti, postaje njihov dobro\u010dinitelj.
