Nije planinsko bo\u017eanstvo, ve\u0107 bi\u0107e narodnog vjerovanja; ovdje treba strogo razlikovati tri razine: folklor, budisti\u010dko tuma\u010denje i modernu kriptozoologiju.<\/p><p>U folkloru se yeti smatra opasnim ubojicom jakova, a njegov pogled ili zov lo\u0161im predznakom, istovremeno je plah i vezan za planinsku divljinu. Moderna recepcija po\u010dinje 1921. godine, pogre\u0161nim prijevodom koji je zapravo stvorio pojam Abominable Snowman (odvratni snje\u017eni \u010dovjek). Predaja razlikuje tri tipa: Dzu-Teha, velikog ubojicu jakova koji je zapravo sme\u0111i medvjed, Meh-Teha, \u010dovjeku sli\u010dna pravog yetija, i malog Thelmu iz \u0161umskih dolina.<\/p><p><strong>Djelovanje<\/strong><\/p><p>Kao divlje planinsko bi\u0107e yeti se smatra opasnim, ubojicom jakova, a njegov pogled ili zov lo\u0161im predznakom.
