U tzv. Sakikk\u00fb-nizu i u relevantnim zazivanjima protiv dje\u010djih bolesti <em>lil\u012btu<\/em> se javlja kao bi\u0107e koje ugro\u017eava dojen\u010dad i \u017eene u babinju.<\/p><p>Blisko srodan je lik <em>ardat lil\u00ee<\/em>, &#8220;Lil\u00fb-djevojke&#8221;, demonice koja je zami\u0161ljena kao umrla neudana i bez djece, pa zbog toga zavidi \u017eivima na onome \u0161to je njoj samoj bilo uskra\u0107eno.<\/p><p>Walter Farber izdao je i komentirao zazivanja za za\u0161titu majke i djeteta, me\u0111u kojima je i niz <em>Lama\u0161tu<\/em>; u tom se okru\u017eenju kre\u0107e i <em>lil\u012btu<\/em>.<\/p><p>Metodolo\u0161ki je va\u017eno da ovi tekstovi ne donose pripovjednu <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Ukupnost predanih pri\u010da o bogovima jedne kulture.\" tabindex=\"0\">mitologiju<\/span>. Oni opisuju demone funkcionalno, kroz njihovo djelovanje i kroz \u010din obrane. Ono \u0161to znamo o izgledu, podrijetlu i pona\u0161anju bi\u0107a <em>lil\u00fb<\/em> stoga je gotovo posve rekonstruirano iz ritualnih konteksta, a ne iz bogoslovnih epova.<\/p><p>Ta situacija izvora obja\u0161njava za\u0161to lik <em>lil\u012btu<\/em> u klinopisnim izvorima ostaje nejasan i za\u0161to ju je tek kasnija \u017eidovska <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Predaja znanja i pri\u010da kroz generacije.\" tabindex=\"0\">predaja<\/span> pretvorila u imenovanu pojedina\u010dnu figuru. Kr. <em>lil\u00fb<\/em>, <em>lil\u012btu<\/em> i <em>ardat lil\u00ee<\/em> su tri srodna, ali ne identi\u010dna bi\u0107a bez vlastite biografije.<\/p><p>Biblijski navod u Izaiji 34,14, gdje se rije\u010d <em>l\u012bl\u012bt<\/em> spominje me\u0111u pustinjskim \u017eivotinjama i zloslutnim bi\u0107ima na razru\u0161enom Edomu, izolirano je spominjanje; prijevodi variraju izme\u0111u &#8220;no\u0107nog privi\u0111enja&#8221;, &#8220;Lilith&#8221; i konkretnih naziva \u017eivotinja, \u0161to dobro pokazuje nesigurnost istra\u017eivanja.<\/p><p>Tek rabinska knji\u017eevnost i aramejske zaklinjateljske zdjelice iz kasnoanti\u010dke Mezopotamije daju liku obrise. Zdjelice, od kojih je objavljeno nekoliko stotina i koje su obradili, me\u0111u ostalima, Joseph Naveh i Shaul Shaked, a kasnije Dan Levene i Christa M\u00fcller-Kessler, spominju Lilith kao prijetnju braku, trudno\u0107i i dojen\u010dadi.<\/p><p>Ovdje je ona ve\u0107 sila kojoj se mo\u017ee obratiti i koja se mo\u017ee prizvati imenom, \u010desto zami\u0161ljena u mno\u017eini kao cijela obitelj Lilin.<\/p><p>Srednjovjekovnu razinu obilje\u017eava pseudoepigrafska <em>Abeceda Ben Sire<\/em>, koja Lilith uvodi kao prvu Adamovu \u017eenu koja odbija podre\u0111enost. Ovaj tekst, \u010dije su datiranje i priroda (je li mi\u0161ljen ozbiljno ili satiri\u010dno) do danas sporni, ponudio je narativni okvir na koji se oslanjala kasnija <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Struja \u017eidovskog misticizma s glavnim djelima kao Sefer Jecira i Zohar.\" tabindex=\"0\">kabala<\/span> i moderna recepcija.<\/p><p>Odatle vodi duga linija preko romantizma do feministi\u010dkog ponovnog preuzimanja u dvadesetom stolje\u0107u. Ovo obja\u0161njenje jezi\u010dno nije odr\u017eivo, iako je sna\u017eno obilje\u017eilo kasniju predod\u017ebu.<\/p><p>Izvod koji danas prevladava u asiriologiji povezuje <em>lil\u00fb<\/em> sa sumerskim <em>lil<\/em>, pojmom iz zna\u010denjskog polja &#8220;vjetar&#8221;, &#8220;zrak&#8221;, &#8220;dah&#8221;, &#8220;oluja&#8221;. Bi\u0107a <em>lil\u00fb<\/em> bi prema tome izvorno bila demoni vjetra i oluje, bestjelesne sile koje putuju kroz zrak.<\/p><p>Ova etimologija odgovara nekolicini obilje\u017eja <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Preno\u0161enje znanja i pri\u010da kroz generacije.\" tabindex=\"0\">predaje<\/span>. Bi\u0107a <em>lil\u00fb<\/em> smatraju se nemirnima, bez stalnog mjesta, prodiru kroz prozore i pukotine, nemaju ljudskog partnera ni potomstvo u obi\u010dnom smislu.<\/p><p>Vjetar kao slika za bezdomnost, nestalnost i neuhvatljivost name\u0107e se sam po sebi. Kasnije oslanjanje na &#8220;no\u0107&#8221; bilo bi tada sekundarna reinterpretacija, potpomognuta glasovnom sli\u010dno\u0161\u0107u i \u010dinjenicom da su mnogi od tih demona zami\u0161ljani kao no\u0107no aktivni.<\/p><p>Istra\u017eivanje i dalje raspravlja koliko je bliska veza sa sumerskim <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Bi\u0107e koje se u nekoj religiji po\u0161tuje kao bo\u017eansko.\" tabindex=\"0\">bo\u017eanstvom<\/span> Enlilom, \u010dije ime sadr\u017ei isti element <em>lil<\/em>, bez da to nu\u017eno zna\u010di izravno srodstvo. Sigurno je samo da je to jezi\u010dno polje staro i da se\u017ee duboko u sumersku jezi\u010dnu razinu.<\/p><p>Za povijest naziva to zna\u010di: ime nosi sa sobom predod\u017ebu stariju od svakog ispri\u010danog lika. Nema grudi koje daju mlijeko, ne poznaje mu\u017ea, nikada nije bila deflorirana.<\/p><p>Iz tog manjka proizlazi njezina opasnost: no\u0107u tra\u017ei mlade mu\u0161karce da na njima nadoknadi ono \u0161to joj je uskra\u0107eno u \u017eivotu, a istovremeno prijeti trudnicama i babinjaricama, koje su imale ispunjen \u017eivot kakav ona sama nije imala. Zavist prema uspje\u0161nom \u017eivotu pokreta\u010dki je <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"Ponavljaju\u0107i sadr\u017eajni element u umjetnosti ili pripovijedanju.\" tabindex=\"0\">motiv<\/span>.<\/p><p>Ova konstrukcija je religioznoznanstveno zanimljiva jer pokazuje kako je jedno dru\u0161tvo svoje vlastite socijalne pukotine prevodilo u demone.<\/p><p>Rana smrt mlade \u017eene, bezdjetnost, uskra\u0107ena ili propu\u0161tena bra\u010dna sre\u0107a: to su bili stvarni strahovi, i vjerovanje u <em>ardat lil\u00ee<\/em> davalo im je oblik s kojim se moglo postupati.
