Non existe unha tradici\u00f3n iconogr\u00e1fica precristi\u00e1; todas as representaci\u00f3ns co\u00f1ecidas son modernas.<\/p><p><strong>Funci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p><p>Medeina goberna o bosque, as \u00e1rbores e a fauna salvaxe. A s\u00faa funci\u00f3n non \u00e9 levar a presa cara ao cazador, sen\u00f3n protexer o bosque e os seus habitantes: pode borrar pegadas, avisar \u00e1 fauna e desorientar aos cazadores.
