Elle ne poss\u00e8de ni corps ni forme et est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme l&rsquo;\u00e9quivalent gallois de la Banshee irlandaise.<\/p>\n<p>La Cyhyraeth est attest\u00e9e surtout chez Wirt Sikes et Marie Trevelyan, avec une tradition particuli\u00e8rement dense autour de la rivi\u00e8re Tywi dans l&rsquo;est du Dyfed et sur la c\u00f4te du Glamorgan. Lorsque la lamentation r\u00e9sonne sur la c\u00f4te ou au-dessus de la mer, elle annonce, selon la tradition, un naufrage La Cyhyraeth est aussi cens\u00e9e r\u00e9sonner pour les Gallois qui meurent loin de leur patrie.
