En tant qu&rsquo;esprits locaux du pays bois\u00e9 non domestiqu\u00e9, ils sont li\u00e9s \u00e0 la f\u00e9condit\u00e9, \u00e0 la nature sauvage et \u00e0 la terreur panique et soudaine de la solitude.<\/p>\n<p>Ils sont n\u00e9s comme d\u00e9multiplication plurielle du dieu unique <a href=\"https:\/\/iwell-guard.com\/faunus\/\">Faunus<\/a>, \u00e0 l&rsquo;image des petits Panes qui accompagnent le Pan grec. Une distinction importante s&rsquo;impose : le faune romain a des jambes de ch\u00e8vre et symbolise la f\u00e9condit\u00e9, le satyre grec porte souvent des oreilles de cheval ou d&rsquo;\u00e2ne et incarne davantage la d\u00e9bauche ; la fusion des deux figures est une assimilation plus tardive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Effet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En tant qu&rsquo;esprits des lieux, les faunes habitent les bosquets, les clairi\u00e8res et les r\u00e9gions bois\u00e9es isol\u00e9es. Symboliquement, ils repr\u00e9sentent la f\u00e9condit\u00e9, le lien avec la nature et la force ambivalente et sauvage du paysage vierge.
