C&rsquo;est avant tout un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne acoustique qui avertit, proph\u00e9tise ou annonce des d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p>Le Hatif est attest\u00e9 aussi bien dans la croyance b\u00e9douine pr\u00e9islamique que dans la tradition islamique. Les Arabes pr\u00e9islamiques attribuaient souvent cette voix aux Djinns, mais elle pouvait tout aussi bien provenir de morts ou \u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e comme un signe divin.
