En tant que personnification du territoire d\u00e9sertique \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest du Nil, il prot\u00e9geait l&rsquo;\u00c9gypte des ennemis venus de l&rsquo;ouest et assurait au d\u00e9funt le p\u00f4le c\u00e9leste occidental.<\/p>\n<p>Son signe distinctif est l&rsquo;id\u00e9ogramme du massif montagneux \u00e0 trois sommets, qu&rsquo;il porte en guise d&rsquo;\u00e9tendard sur la t\u00eate et avec lequel son nom est \u00e9crit.
