A diferencia del Strigoi, de aspecto humano, este siempre resurge en forma de lobo o perro y ataca a personas que viajan solas y al ganado, de manera silenciosa e inesperada.<\/p>\n<p>El Pricolici est\u00e1 cercano a la idea del V\u00e2rcolac, el hombre lobo rumano com\u00fan, y se entiende como su versi\u00f3n no muerta e intensificada: como hombre lobo rumano, une la creencia en el hombre lobo con la creencia en el aparecido de la regi\u00f3n de los C\u00e1rpatos.
