El testimonio central procede del etn\u00f3grafo Matth\u00e4us Pr\u00e4torius, quien lo describe como una deidad del viento de alto rango y poderosa en la Pen\u00ednsula de Curlandia.<\/p>\n<p>Desde el principio es importante la reserva cr\u00edtica respecto a las fuentes: la tradici\u00f3n procede de una sola fuente y es tard\u00eda. Sin embargo, muchos atributos de detalle dependen de reconstrucciones y de la tradici\u00f3n secundaria; las descripciones populares mezclan a Pr\u00e4torius con interpretaciones posteriores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Efecto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vejopatis es se\u00f1or de los vientos; en algunas interpretaciones tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1or o guardi\u00e1n del m\u00e1s all\u00e1, el Dausos, que soplar\u00eda las almas hacia el m\u00e1s all\u00e1.
