antepasado, es el t\u00e9rmino aymara para el esp\u00edritu ancestral de la monta\u00f1a divinizado. Los Achachilas habitan en monta\u00f1as, rocas y lagos, protegen los reba\u00f1os, el agua y la fertilidad, y forman la contraparte masculina complementaria de la Madre Tierra Pachamama.<\/p>\n<p>El t\u00e9rmino no designa una sola monta\u00f1a, sino todo un tipo: grandes cumbres como el Illimani, el Illampu, el Sajama o el Huayna Potos\u00ed se consideran cada una un Achachila propio, con su nombre y su \u00e1mbito de competencia.
