No son ni claramente ben\u00e9volas ni claramente malignas, y encarnan el poder imprevisible de la naturaleza salvaje.<\/p><p>Las Wilen pueden curar, profetizar y asistir a h\u00e9roes; en la \u00e9pica heroica serbia, la Wila es la hermana de elecci\u00f3n y auxiliar de Marko Kraljevi\u0107. En algunas tradiciones tienen pies de cabra o de caballo, que ocultan bajo el vestido.<\/p><h3>Comportamiento<\/h3><p>Danzan en corro (<em>Kolo<\/em>) en prados de monta\u00f1a, cantan, curan con hierbas y profetizan. Si se las molesta, se las esp\u00eda o se las ofende, castigan con enfermedad, par\u00e1lisis, p\u00e9rdida de la voz o la danza hasta el agotamiento.<\/p><h3>\u00c1mbito de acci\u00f3n<\/h3><p>Cimas de monta\u00f1as, claros del bosque, nubes, manantiales y lagos. Ciertos lugares, danzas en corro sobre la hierba, \u00e1rboles aislados y manantiales se consideran lugares de las Wilen, que el ser humano deber\u00eda evitar o frecuentar con respeto.<\/p><h3>Clasificaci\u00f3n mitol\u00f3gica<\/h3><p>La Wila pertenece a los esp\u00edritus femeninos ambivalentes de la naturaleza del mundo eslavo, emparentada con la <a href=\"\/es\/rusalka\/\">Rusalka<\/a> eslava oriental. Pastores y caminantes evitaban entonces los prados de altura y los \u00e1rboles aislados.<\/p><h3>Pr\u00e1cticas de protecci\u00f3n y reconciliaci\u00f3n<\/h3><p>Se rodeaban los lugares de las Wilen, no se interrump\u00eda ninguna danza en corro sobre la hierba y se manten\u00edan limpios los manantiales. Para reconciliarse, se depositaban flores, tortas, miel o cintas de colores en los \u00e1rboles de las Wilen. Las mujeres conocedoras de hierbas eran consideradas capaces de aliviar las enfermedades infligidas por las Wilen.<\/p><h3>La Wila como auxiliar<\/h3><p>No todo encuentro era amenazador: en la \u00e9pica heroica, la Wila se convierte en hermana de elecci\u00f3n (<em>posestrima<\/em>) del h\u00e9roe, le advierte, le cura las heridas y le presta su saber.
