As Iuppiter Pluvius he was the rain god, as Iuppiter Tonans the thunder god, as Iuppiter Fulgur the lightning god.<\/p><p>Iuppiter Stator upheld the stability of the state, Iuppiter Victor ensured military success, and Iuppiter Feretrius was associated with the spoils of war.
