are Greek, particularly Athenian, ancestral and wind spirits. They connect the wind, the souls of the ancestors and fertility; they were invoked above all at marriage and when hoping for children.<\/p>\n<p>Their cult is in fact attested broadly, unlike most wind personifications: through Phanodemus, Attic sacrificial calendars, the Tritopatreion in the Kerameikos and the lex sacra of Selinous.
