Tato rozmanitost ukazuje, \u017ee \u201eYowie\u201c nen\u00ed jednotn\u00e1 bytost, ale cel\u00e1 rodina p\u0159\u00edbuzn\u00fdch stra\u0161ideln\u00fdch postav.<\/p><p>Graham Joyner podrobn\u011b zdokumentoval jazykovou historii pojmu Yowie v knize <em>The Hairy Man of South Eastern Australia<\/em> (1977). N\u011bkter\u00e9 popisy zmi\u0148uj\u00ed \u010derven\u00e9 o\u010di, jin\u00e9 dlouh\u00e9 dr\u00e1py.<\/p><p>Tento popis je typologicky podobn\u00fd celosv\u011btov\u00e9 rodin\u011b \u201edivok\u00e9ho mu\u017ee\u201c (Bigfoot, Yeti). Religionisticko-antropologicky zaj\u00edmav\u00e1 je ot\u00e1zka, zda je tato podobnost d\u00e1na typologickou konvergenc\u00ed, nebo univerz\u00e1ln\u00ed archetypikou \u201edivok\u00e9ho mu\u017ee\u201c, ot\u00e1zka, o n\u00ed\u017e se od Jungovy teorie archetyp\u016f kontroverzn\u011b diskutuje.<\/p><p>V aboriginsk\u00fdch skaln\u00edch malb\u00e1ch v\u00fdchodn\u00ed Austr\u00e1lie existuje n\u011bkolik zobrazen\u00ed, kter\u00e1 jsou vykl\u00e1d\u00e1na jako obrazy \u201eYowieho\u201c; tento v\u00fdklad v\u0161ak nen\u00ed ve v\u0161ech p\u0159\u00edpadech jist\u00fd.
