Byl sov\u011btsk\u00fdm astronomem a astrofyzikem, vzd\u011blan\u00fdm na Leningradsk\u00e9 univerzit\u011b. Jeho v\u011bdeck\u00e1 kari\u00e9ra za\u010dala na Pulkovsk\u00e9 observato\u0159i, kde se specializoval na hv\u011bzdn\u00e9 atmosf\u00e9ry. Ve 30. letech 20. stolet\u00ed byl v r\u00e1mci stalinsk\u00fdch \u010distek zat\u010den a deset let str\u00e1vil v t\u00e1borech, ne\u017e byl v roce 1946 rehabilitov\u00e1n a mohl se vr\u00e1tit ke sv\u00e9mu v\u00fdzkumu.<\/p><p>V mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed astronomii je Kozyrev zn\u00e1m\u00fd mimo jin\u00e9 t\u00edm, \u017ee v roce 1958 pozoroval mo\u017en\u00e9 n\u00e1znaky vulkanick\u00e9 aktivity na M\u011bs\u00edci. Zhotovil spektra m\u011bs\u00ed\u010dn\u00edho kr\u00e1teru Alphonsus, kter\u00e1 podle jeho interpretace ukazovala v\u00fdrony plyn\u016f. Hled\u00e1 spojen\u00ed mezi \u010dasem, energi\u00ed a hmotou, v n\u011bm\u017e \u010das nen\u00ed pouze parametrem procesu, n\u00fdbr\u017e aktivn\u00edm faktorem s vlastn\u00ed hustotou energie a sm\u011brem \u00fa\u010dinku. Z t\u00e9to teorie Kozyrev odvodil my\u0161lenku, \u017ee \u010das m\u016f\u017ee za ur\u010dit\u00fdch podm\u00ednek p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161et informaci nez\u00e1visle na fyzik\u00e1ln\u00edm nosn\u00e9m m\u00e9diu.<\/p><p>Kauz\u00e1ln\u00ed mechanika nebyla za Kozyrevova \u017eivota p\u0159ijata do z\u00e1padn\u00edho fyzik\u00e1ln\u00edho hlavn\u00edho proudu. V sov\u011btsk\u00e9m v\u011bdeck\u00e9m prost\u0159ed\u00ed existovala men\u0161\u00ed \u0161kola, kter\u00e1 na teorii d\u00e1le pracovala.
