Aquest terme, derivat del llat\u00ed <em>breve<\/em> (escrit curt), designa en la religiositat popular bavaresa i austr\u00edaca un petit paquet de paper bene\u00eft, en el qual hi ha escrita o impresa una <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"L'adre\u00e7ament verbal de l'\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 a una divinitat.\" tabindex=\"0\">preg\u00e0ria<\/span>, un nom div\u00ed o una f\u00f3rmula religiosa.<\/p><p>El paper es doblega, de vegades cosit en lli juntament amb herbes o altres subst\u00e0ncies protectores, i despr\u00e9s es porta sobre el cos, especialment per part de nens i malalts.<\/p>\n<p>El sarr\u00f3 protector se situa aix\u00ed en la cru\u00eflla de diverses t\u00e8cniques de protecci\u00f3: \u00e9s un <a href=\"https:\/\/iwell-guard.com\/ca\/?page_id=172011\">amulet<\/a> en el sentit d&#8217;objecte portat, per\u00f2 sovint cont\u00e9 elements que recorden el <a href=\"https:\/\/iwell-guard.com\/ca\/?page_id=172037\">talism\u00e0<\/a>, \u00e9s a dir, la composici\u00f3 deliberada amb una intenci\u00f3 concreta. En l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de parla alemanya, el Breverl \u00e9s la forma m\u00e9s coneguda; en la m\u00e0gia popular angloamericana, la bossa mojo; en el context de l&#8217;\u00c0frica occidental, el gris-gris.<\/p><p>En tots els casos, la combinaci\u00f3 dels components es considera essencial: un sarr\u00f3 amb ingredients equivocats o mancances es considera feble o inefica\u00e7. A l&#8217;antic Egipte es portaven petites bosses de cuir amb amulets de papir; el Llibre dels Morts cont\u00e9 instruccions per portar determinats amulets escrits sobre el cos. A Mesopot\u00e0mia s&#8217;han trobat tauletes d&#8217;argila plegades amb f\u00f3rmules d&#8217;encantament cosides en lli.<\/p>\n<p>En l&#8217;\u00e0mbit jueu, la Mezuz\u00e0 \u00e9s una forma emparentada: un pergam\u00ed escrit dins d&#8217;un receptacle, col\u00b7locat al brancal de la porta. La versi\u00f3 portada sobre el cos, el <em>Kamea<\/em>, correspon directament al principi del sarr\u00f3 protector: un escrit dins d&#8217;una funda, portat sobre el cos o col\u00b7locat en un lloc concret.<\/p>\n<p>En l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de parla alemanya, el Breverl es va desenvolupar sobretot en la <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"La religiositat viscuda en el dia a dia, sovint al costat de la doctrina oficial.\" tabindex=\"0\">religiositat popular<\/span> de la baixa edat mitjana i l&#8217;inici de l&#8217;edat moderna. La difusi\u00f3 de fulls bene\u00efts per esgl\u00e9sies i monestirs, impresos o escrits a m\u00e0, formava part de la pr\u00e0ctica de la pietat de l&#8217;\u00e8poca moderna primerenca.<\/p><p>El pag\u00e8s o la pagesa que no posaven el fill al llit sense protecci\u00f3 recorrien a un full d&#8217;aquests o en feien fer un al capell\u00e0. El Breverl no era un sagramental sancionat per l&#8217;Esgl\u00e9sia, per\u00f2 operava en una zona grisa que la religiositat popular aprofitava.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e8poca de la Reforma va crear una tensi\u00f3 interessant: els clergues luterans condemnaven el Breverl com a superstici\u00f3, mentre que en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit cat\u00f2lic es tolerava en silenci o fins i tot es difonia activament. Herbes com l&#8217;herba de Sant Joan, l&#8217;artemisa o la valeriana es consideren defensives contra determinades influ\u00e8ncies. La sal es considera purificadora i hostil a l&#8217;impur. Una estella d&#8217;os o una pedra amb una forma particular hi afegeix una qualitat protectora material.<\/p>\n<p>La capa simb\u00f2lica: la <span class=\"iwg-fachbegriff\" data-tooltip=\"L'adre\u00e7ament verbal de l'\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 a una divinitat.\" tabindex=\"0\">preg\u00e0ria<\/span> escrita, el nom div\u00ed o el signe donen al contingut una dimensi\u00f3 espiritual. La f\u00f3rmula, sobretot si ha estat pronunciada o escrita per una persona capacitada, activa el sarr\u00f3 m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de l&#8217;aspecte purament material.<\/p>\n<p>La capa combinat\u00f2ria: la interacci\u00f3 dels components es considera m\u00e9s forta que la suma de les parts individuals. Aquesta \u00e9s una regla b\u00e0sica de la m\u00e0gia popular: la combinaci\u00f3 adequada genera un efecte que cap dels ingredients per si sol podria produir.<\/p>\n<p>En moltes tradicions \u00e9s decisiva la integritat del sarr\u00f3: no s&#8217;ha d&#8217;obrir, ja que aix\u00f2 dissoldria l&#8217;efecte conjunt.
